After topping $1,000 an ounce in September 09 the price of gold is at it’s highest value price for a long time. Even though these are all relatively high prices historically, we face the threat of more substantial global inflation mainly as a result of fighting the global recession, for anyone wishing to sell scrap gold, now is the time, the upside is enormous.

Gold prices really have soared recently to high levels that have not been seen since the mid 1980s. From $430 per Troy ounce in April 2005 to $555 per Troy ounce towards 2005 years’ end, then up to $750 per Troy ounce near the end of 2007, and to the now very much anticipated $1,000 per per Troy ounce in the Autumn of 2009.
This is great news for people who want to get rid of their scrap gold. The prices are high - lets hope they stay that way!
